Week 1 almost complete

I was fortunate enough to be able to work for almost 8 hours today, fixing bugs and massaging data (massaging data sounds so sexy, doesn’t it?).  Wait, it’s Saturday, right?  Yes, I thought so, too.  Tomorrow will be more of the same, because that’s when the first IRS acknowledgments of the tax season get delivered.  I’ll bet you didn’t know that, did you?  You might just learn a lot about e-filing while you read about me trying to get ripped.  Or maybe your eyes will just glaze over until you read about how many eggs I ate that day.

This is the part you can’t wait to read, so here was my fuel for the day:

  • 3 hard-boiled eggs
  • 1 cup pussed up coffee
  • 1/2 chicken breast
  • celery with peanut butter, 2 large strawberries, 2 slices of pear
  • 2 Coke Zeros
  • 1/4 cup smoked almonds
  • 1 banana
  • baked chicken casserole over salad and broccoli (the chicken was baked in some creamy soup and I kept that to a minimum)
  • cottage cheese (I haven’t actually eaten this yet, but I might)
  • not as much water as I should have had

For my workout, I did the intervals (if you’re too lazy to look back for it, it’s a 5 minute warm up jog, 6 reps of sprints (20 sec) and walking (30 sec), then 5 minute cool down jog.  Did I mention that it was 45°F and raining?  I’ll take that over those damn tortuous planks any day.

I’m done exercising for the week, all I have to do is work tomorrow and watch my diet.
