Quick Tuesday update

Yes, I know it’s Wednesday, but I have a quick update about Tuesday’s events, if you really want to call them events.  I pretty much went to work, came home and got the kids ready for bed, made up a story with them about a huge hole in the ground filled with bats and bears (and the boys were the heroes of the story by filling the hole with milk and eating the bats and bears as breakfast cereal, and the milk softened the soil at the bottom of the hole, allowing them to easily dig for the buried treasure of gold and gems).

So for yesterday’s workout, it was the “abs-only” part of the Week 3 workout regimen and boy was that fun.  It actually wasn’t too bad, but I realized a few times just how long 35 seconds can seem when you’re doing bicycle kicks and my favorite exercise of all time, the plank.  Actually the side plank may have surpassed the normal plank as my all-time fave, but the plank is definitely up there as far as least-favorite exercises go.

Breakfast

  • ham & cheese omelet
  • coffee

Snack

  • apple w/peanut butter
  • Diet Dr. Pepper

Lunch

  • tuna (mayo & dill pickles) & spinach salad
  • plain yogurt w/blueberries

Snack

  • apple
  • 1/4 cup roasted & salted almonds

Dinner

  • chicken, cauliflower, broccoli casserole with some kind of creamy soup stuff
  • water

Snack

  • cottage cheese with strawberries
  • water

That’s all I have time for, I’m out of here for now.

    I’m lost over here, (un)Ripped Geek, without reading about the pain and suffering on your quest to getting ripped. :(
