I think you may have figured this out by now, but I am technically a geek and I have a geeky kind of job working on tax e-filing software.  Since today was the first day of e-filing, you might imagine that I was kind of busy.  I had to go to our Rome facility today (don’t get excited, I’m talking about Rome, Georgia, not the real Rome) and had two hours of driving today, so that dug into my workout time a bit.  But I finally did it and I stuck pretty well to the eating plan even though I was away from my home turf.

My meals today:

  • scrambled egg beaters
  • 2 big cups of pussed up coffee
  • cheeseburger (no bun, added pickles, a little ketchup, mustard)
  • shrimp & spinach salad with fairly light dressing (do you like how I said “fairly”?)
  • 1 banana
  • 1 1/2 grilled chicken breasts & some celery (eaten in my car at 7:30pm during hour-long drive from work)
  • 1/4 cup smoked almonds

My workout today (officially done on Saturday morning since it was at 12:30am, but I’m still counting it)

  • Pushups & dumbbell squats
  • Dumbbell curls & forward lunges
  • Shoulder dumbbell presses & hamstring curls
  • Mountain climbers & planks

One more day of workouts and then I get to rest on Sunday.  I might actually feel like doing something active, or maybe not…

  1. Ken,

    Way to go!!

I wonder if I can remember what I ate today:

Turkey Bacon and cheese on bagel with a diet coke

Wheat toast and jelly with diet pepsi

Ribeye steak and onion rings with Fat Tire 1554 beer

    4 cookies

few handfuls of low fat cheese crisps

big veggie salad with ham and cheese with honey mustard dressing

Lots of snacks, beer and tequila at a party.

Oh, and I rode my bike for 2 1/2 hours to make it all work out! :-)

  2. Hey Rob, your diet sounds a lot more fun than mine, especially the Fat Tire beer, the snacks, and the tequila! But you sound like you’ve been exercising seriously for a lot longer than I have, so you can handle it a lot better than I can.

Thanks for your comments, they’ve really helped!
