Finito with Week 2

Since there were storms headed my way yesterday and I was supposed to do my intervals on Saturday due to my slippage on Friday, I did my intervals in the morning.  One thing I found out is that if you get your workouts done in the morning, you not only feel great the rest of the day, but it sort of feels like you had a day off.

It was also fun because one of my 5-year old sons decided he wanted to go with me, and he would sprint when I would and then I’d walk back to him, then repeat.  I just feared that he wouldn’t catch the toe of one of his Crocs on the pavement while he was sprinting, because Crocs tend to stick to concrete and asphalt like glue, and then physics takes over and it’s not pretty.  But he did great and is a fast little boy.

  1. Your writing is better than average, but how about some graphs? I can’t effectively tell if you are loosing weight, getting stronger, etc. Some before pics and weekly pics would also be nice. :-) I want to see just how much cottage cheese you have.

  2. Hey Michael,

Thanks so much for the compliment on my writing — I also spell pretty well and will be concentrating on “losing” weight as opposed to your “loosing” it. :-)

But seriously folks, I will post my stats each Monday, and I can tell you that this past week I did not “loose” much weight, but I will hopefully attribute that to either me getting stronger and building muscle, or under nourishment and my body holding onto things. I certainly hope it’s the former, because I certainly felt stronger by the end of the week, especially in my shoulders where my dumbbell presses were getting noticeably easier. If you wish to chart my stats in a spreadsheet and graph it for me, please go ahead as you obviously have more time than I do.

And…no pics until I’m at least halfway through, which will be in about 6 weeks, and only if I’m really showing progress. I will not indulge your fantasies by providing weekly pics, so you’re going to have to go elsewhere for that.
